About the Department

 
  • The course is a unique amalgamation of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, which has been recognized as a vital vocational technical course from the point of view of chemical industries and its allied industries. The curriculum of Industrial Chemistry at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level cater & fulfill the current needs of Chemical Industries in India and the world at large.
  • The institute is offering Industrial Chemistry program at UG level since 1998 in the Saurashtra and Kutch region. Moreover, the college is awarded with UGC assistance for M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry) under innovative program – Teaching and Research in interdisciplinary and emerging area in 2008.
  • Industrial Chemistry program at UG & PG level is now offered under ATMIYA University since June 2018.
  • The department has state of art experimental laboratories like Heat transfer, Fluid mechanics, Petroleum analysis, Mechanical operations, wet laboratories etc. and also dedicated dissertation lab to carry out the research work for UG & PG students.

Yoga Practices by Mr. Jasprit Singh

  • Jasprit Singh delivered a speech on importance of Yoga in our life for M.Sc students in step auditorium and also discussed about various pranayam.
  • Jasprit Singh perfomed various yoga and pranayam infront of students and also explained benefits of each yogasan and pranayam. Students also performed with the Mr. Jasprit Singh.
  • Students performed asans like Bhujangasana, Padmasana, Sukhasana, Tadasana, Vajrasana etc. and Pranayam like Bhramari pranayam, Anuloma – Viloma, Deep breathing etc.

Atmiya Sports Event – 2019

  • Taking part in various sports activities is important in ensuring that one is able to reap the benefits that come with it.
  • There are various sports activities organized in the college and students can take part in to ensure that they are able to lead healthier and more active lives.
  • It also brings students together irrespective of their ethnic backgrounds or age. In times of sports, students come together for the purpose of fun and enjoyment.
  • Sports make friendly interaction between Teacher and Students and so making healthy relationship.

Dissertation

 

A dissertation is an original research by the students which is carrying out on specific topic under the guidance of faculty in the department and submitted a thesis to department as part of a master’s degree. At the end of the semester, review of the research work will be taken by the external examiners.
