Mr. Jiten B. Thaker |
Asst. Prof. |
http://www.ijser.org/onlineResearchPaperViewer.aspx?QUANTIFYING-THE-EFFECT-OF-SOIL-FLEXIBILITY-FOR-ELEVATED-STORAGE-RESERVOIR-BY-PUSHOVER-ANALYSIS.pdf | Since last some years the structures is getting critical damage during the earthquake because of the absence of the calculation of soil flexibility during the analysis and design. The main objective of this study is to compare the time period, maximum displacement, base shear and performance point of an elevated water tank with various height. |
2. | Identification of accident prone stretches in Urban area: A case study of Rajkot city | Mr.Praful Shinkar | Asst.Prof. | http://www.ijsrd.com/articles/IJSRDV4I21768.pdf | This study is of better relevance in this context for mitigating accident problems on city roads
Through systematic identification, analysis and measure of accident prone stretches. Based on Accident Severity Index(ASI) method the top most three accident prone stretches are identified. |
3. | Economic Assessment of Flyover- A case study of Rajkot city | Mr.Praful Shinkar | Asst.Prof. | http://www.ijsrd.com/articles/IJSRDV4I11098.pdf | This research study therefore, would be part of extensive studies that was undertaken to determine effects of flyover construction to the way of life of the motorists and commuters, and in general travelling public. In addition, this is to make them aware of the advantages and dis-advantages that it may bring to their everyday life of activity. To reduce traffic congestion at an at
-grade intersection near a big city, one method is construction a flyover bridge at the old junction in two directions on one of the main roads. |
4. | Design of integrated storm water drainage system of rural road | Mr.Praful Shinkar | Asst.Prof. | http://www.ijsrd.com/articles/IJSRDV4I30863.pdf | There is insufficient drainage facilities which could not passing through it. By collecting the last 10 years rainfall data thus we can measure the intensity of water flowing. There is the Chainage data which have every specific distance with water flow level. At high flow level there is need to provide efficient drainage system. Using this information, calculate the water flow discharge and make
the design of culvert at the specific area. Another option is to remove surface water by permeable pavement surface at shoulder. Which drain out the surface water to subgrade. |
5. | Planning and design of proposed bypass road connecting kalawad road to gondal road, Rajkot using Autodesk 3D software | Mr.Praful Shinkar | Asst.Prof. | http://www.ijsdr.org/papers/IJSDR1605088.pdf | The development of effective road transport system is primary need of any developing country. Also provision of new road network is essential for developing countries to carry out its transportation functions smoothly as with increasing traffic volume urban and non-
urban roads reach to their saturation level with passage of time. So for this job the best available Highway Geometric Design Software must be used for designing of road. Keeping this in view we have used Autodesk Civil 3D Software for the geometric design of the proposed bypass road of Rajkot, Gujarat to provide its geometric design. |

Study on Position of Outrigger System in Tall Structure | Mr. Mayank M. Parekh |
Asst. Prof.
|
www.jetir.org/view?paper=JETIR1605042 | A 3D F.E.M. models have been arranged and analysis have been performed for Different location of outrigger System. Reduction in lateral deflections is compared to a model without Outrigger system. Previous study also shows that outriggers are also capable of reducing the inter story drifts in composite buildings. At the end of Analysis, we found that, by using outrigger and belt truss deflection is reduced, Time period also get reduce which leads to increase in natural frequency of the structure. Graphical representations for Deflection is shown for All different heights of models which are 40-Storey, 60-Storey and 80-Storey. |

Prof. | https://www.researchgate.net/publication/280777517_BOX_JACKING_-AS_BENEFICIAL_CONSTRUCTION_TOOL_PROBLEMS_REMEDIES | Box jacking is a well-established means of engineering culverts or tunnels under rail embankments or waterways to accommodate road or rail traffic. It is a way of overcoming or circumventing geophysical impediments in order to build a road or rail networks. Many tunnels of note around the world have been built using the box jacking process and though technology has improved greatly in recent times the engineering capacity has been around for quite a while. From a technical viewpoint the box jacking process begins with the excavation of a launch area or sink pit where a secure backdrop can be constructed to facilitate the hydraulic jacking rams that will push the precast concrete box sections into place. |
